Hey. I know, I know, you were expecting a picture of David. But I'm hear to tell you there's a NEW cute in town. Granted, I've been here a while, but I figured I'd pop in and show you just how darn cute I am. See? Check me out.
Behold more of my cuteness. http://samandeggs.blogspot.com

Pictures of the Past 3
In October, we took part in a comedy of errors as a bunch of us went camping. Somehow, with all of us doing boneheaded things, we never actually took pictures of anything (or I lost them). While I do have a cool one on my cell phone, we just received a bunch from Aunt Marianne (Sean, if you have any, please send them!) The only picture I have worth salvaging is our best boneheaded move...leaving the pack and play at home (which explains why everything fit into our tiny Geo Prizm so darn well).
Here's a break-down of our "bed ad-lib"...
North Wall - Wooden Wall
East Wall - Laundry Basket (with padding)
West Wall - Suitcase (also blocking the ladder)
South Wall - Mattress off of bed
Support for South Wall - Gym Bag Strap hooked to Suitcase, bottles of water and soda
Box of Bottles of Water - Acted as a door stop (door is in bottom right corner of picture)
Even more entertaining a thought - the first night, David didn't take too well to it (surprise surprise). So Mommy had to climb in with him, sit with him, then somehow exit the area while David was falling asleep. Pretty impressive stuff she does.

Pictures of the Past 1
Starting a new series, based on the fact that I'm horrendously behind in posting. So check back all week for a new entry.
JIM: Wow! He just took some steps! When did that start?
ROB & HEATHER: Right now.
JIM: ....(speechless)...
That's right. In late September, Uncle Jim and Aunt Cath came to visit the same weekend David took his first unaided steps. Here was the recreated scene (after we all got over the emotional glee of David's milestone). This entire day gave birth to the game where David walks back and forth between parents. Great game.
Later, on the ride home, Uncle Jim called up Grammy and taunted her with his own emotional glee. Grammy rifled back, saying that she would stalk our young son until he had his first kiss, in which she would erupt in joy, call Jim up, and rub it in his face. This, of course, won't happen until college, so you can imagine what a scene this will turn out to be. Pictures will, of course, be provided, giving us about 17 years to teach Grammy how to use a digital camera.
And for those of you keeping track at home, the first sentence in the previous paragraph was true. The rest was pure hogwash.

The Web-Stats of David
The Statistics of David
Born: August 18th, 2006
Current Age: 2 Years!!!
Current Stats: Blue eyes, light brown hair. 28 lbs.
Clothes Size: 2T/3T. Wearing Pampers Size 5 (not Cruisers).
Newest Word: "Zoinks." Daddy had some fun teaching that to him.
Newest Phrase: "Go outside yes." The "go outside" is him asking 'can I go outside,' as we have taught him to say. The "yes" is our answer, which he still repeats back to us, no matter what we do. He's also starting to get used to the fact that "no" is a possible answer, but he typically doesn't care.
Latest Accomplishment: He can turn on our lamp by the switch near the light bulb.
Currently... napping. Hence my time to update the site.
